To help businesses and property owners meet legal requirements under the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR). These regulations require that all electrical systems are safely installed and maintained to prevent injury or death caused by faulty installations or equipment.
We work promptly and professionally – we supply and install a selection of equipment from many of the industry’s major brands. We also work to ensure our installations are fully compliant with all applicable legislation.
What Does Periodic Inspection Include?
- Full inspection and testing of fixed electrical wiring
- Risk assessments for electrical faults and fire hazards
- Detailed Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
- Visual and functional checks on distribution boards, circuits, and safety devices
- Identification and coding of faults based on severity (C1, C2, C3, FI)
- Observations and recommendations for remedial work
Compliant, Reliable & Independent Testing
- C1, C2, and FI issues must be resolved to achieve a ‘satisfactory’ rating.
- C3 is advisory and not essential for compliance, but still worth considering.
- You’re not obligated to use the same contractor for both testing and repairs.
- Once faults are fixed, certificates such as EIC or Minor Works (MW) should be kept with your EICR to demonstrate compliance.
